Introduction
Environmental Science Dept. of this College was established in the year 2008. The department started its B.Sc. (Honours) in Environmental Science degree course on and from 7th July, 2008 and it is being conducted successfully till date. In early stages department was started with five Part-time faculties. In 2011, West Bengal Govt. approved all the Part-time posts of different colleges and secured the job having consolidated remuneration up to sixty years. At present, there are three Part-time teachers and one Gr.D staff. The Environmental Science department is now at the developing stage. In the last few years, with the financial assistance of UGC, State Plan (2018-19) and RUSA (2019-20) we have purchased a number of necessary equipments and instruments to run practical classes smoothly as per syllabus. Since from the academic session (2017-18), The University of Burdwan has decided to introduce a semester-based Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) in Graduate level courses and according
