Introduction

The Department of Political Science began its journey in 1931 as Civics Department. Since 1966, however, it has started offering both Honours and General Degree courses at the graduation level. The Department also has a morning section, where a good number of students study Political Science. There are three full time teachers in this department and all the Faculty members are experienced, well qualified and are actively engaged in research activities.
