ABOUT
To develop and promote Sanskrit all over the country and abroad, the Government of India constituted a Central Sanskrit Board
which recommended the establisment of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan on 15th October 1970 as an autonomous organization. In 2002,
the sansthan was declared as a Deemed University by Ministry of Human Resource Development on the recommendation of University
Grant Commission.
The Non formal Sanskrit Education scheme was launched for those who desires to learn this great language in the non formal
educational path. This scheme was established to ensure that large number people can learn the language.
To cater the knowledge of Sanskrit language for the masses of Chandannagar and surrounding places, Chandernagore College
collaborated with Central Sanskrit University and established an extended center for the Non Formal Sanskrit Education since 2022.
